ORIENTAL DANCE COURSES

COLLECTIVE COURSES OF ORIENTAL DANCE

The courses are open to all women of all ages.

The courses are divided into LEVELS OF LEARNING:

BASIC: for beginners and those who face for the first year the study of oriental dance, it is proposed to build a foundation for the study of dance: posture, weight, isolations, basic steps and techniques.

INTERMEDIATE: Suited for those who have attended at least a basic course in one year. It is based on the study of classical Egyptian technique.

ADVANCED COURSE 1: suitable for students with two years of study of dance, it involves the study of classical technique and the study of Egyptian folklore

ADVANCED COURSE 2: For those who have at least 3 years of studying, it includes the study of complex choreography techniques based on rhythmic and musical understanding and interpretation of the dance itself.

PROFESSIONAL COURSE: aimed at teaching techniques and choreography for teaching and entertainmen. The participation in this course is subjeced to assessment by Laura.

CHILDREN: 6 to 12 years (for minors is required a medical certificate of fitness to non-competitive dance) it proposes the study of dance as a funny and creative rhythmic and musical activity.

TEACHERS: Wael Mansour (1 Monday per month), L'Aura and the graduated teachers of the school.

PROGRAM: The lessons consist of a first part concerning heating, a section concerning the study of the steps and the static and dynamic technique, and a last part concerning choreography or choreographic improvisation. During the year there will be classes specifically concerning rhythm, music or certain styles of dance (baladi, Saiid, khaleege, clouds etc.), and the use of accessories (veil, isis wings, cane, finger cymbals, candelabra, sword, etc...) The lessons of advanced and vocational courses can be supplemented by dance classes of other styles to improve certain techniques or for more creative ideas.

STAGE: The school offers regular workshops and seminars with famed Italian and foreign teachers to deepen certain topics of dance, usually these are held on Sundays and are free for "all inclusive", card holders. All internships are number limited. Priority will be given basing on the date of registration. They are to be considered as valuable chances for close examination and discussion in oriental dance field.

The students of all classes who have regulary attended can participate in the FINAL DANCE RECITAL so how can they achieve AID & A STUDENTS DIPLOMA.

LOCATION OF THE COURSES: Courses are held by A.S.D. L'AURA in Via San Francesco D'Assisi 10 in Brescia-ITALY(nearest parking: Corso Matteotti and Via dei Mille, Via San F. D'Assisi is the third street right on Corso Matteotti see MAP )

WHAT TO WEAR: Comfortable clothing eg. leggings or a Turkish low waist pants, hip belt, or a wide skirt, top or tight shirt, cotton sock.

For a full knowledge of dance a constant frequency is recommend (at least 1 or 2 lessons per week).

COST: the lessons of belly dance is accessed through prepaid cards that allow free attendance at various courses, so you are not bound to attend a single day, but you can vary the day and the program, paying only the classes actually attended .
Annual subscriptions are also provided, particularly convenient for those who attend regularly.
The course on Monday with Wael Mansour is limited numbered (for the first 20 members).
